- Fun Fact: Don’t know if this is fun or just confounding but the 2022 revival of the play starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick is the 3rd most successful revival of a play of all time. In its relatively short run of about 3 months, it made nearly $30 million.

Rich Griset wants you to know that he does indeed like some of Neil Simon’s work. But so far on the podcast he’s had to rail against “They’re Playing Our Song” and now he weighs in with a very slightly more positive opinion of “Plaza Suite.” I have to agree with Rich: the movie is hard to watch and its hard to imagine a modern restaging that is much more palatable. We dissect what is so wrong and speculate on what Sarah and Matt were thinking….
