Think “Blazing Saddles” but in the 1930s…”Hellzapopin'” was a very broad comic revue with satirical songs on contemporary topics (of the day) and in-your-face, madcap, fourth-wall-breaking routines. Was it good? It’s hard to tell now but the movie that was spurred by it surprisingly holds up.
